Potter of the Month for July 2016

Congratulations to Fran on winning the title of Potter of the Month for July.

Fran's winning pot was a well thrown platter using Keane 5 Buff Stoneware and nicely glazed with a white glaze on the inside and leaving an unglazed portion on the outside wall.

Fran is pictured here with the winning pot at our July meeting in the pottery studio at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery.

Join us there again for the August meeting and bring a pot of your own to be in the running.

Today three members of the Competition Committee, Anna, Janet and Marjorie, travelled to Wollongong to accept the award of funds to go towards the Community Clay Open Studio events we will be running in conjunction with the 49th National Pottery Competition in September.

The IMB Community Foundation provides funds for so many worthwhile charities it is very humbling to be a recipient in 2016.
